Alias is great. You probably know it's made by the same people who produce/write "Lost." The writing is awesome and the characters really well done. But it's one of those shows that is *really* complicated to follow. We started from Season 1 and have worked our way through and you really have to pay attention. I'm not sure it's a show you could just pick up and start watching. Although I read an article the other day that was saying that Season 4 had changed the format somewhat and made the episodes more stand-alone or something. So maybe they changed it somewhat this season to make it easier for new viewers to come on board.
I saw the first ep, but didn't follow up on it and thus am too far behind. I did buy S1 as a Xmas gift for a friend, but I thought I might borrow it at some point.
Well I'm downloading season 1 of Alias, it's going to take 50 more hours...but I'll give it a shot from the beginning, I hate watching tv series out of order. Though some you can get away with like Star Trek. :)
I haven't watched Alias, but I enjoy the other three shows. I was concerned about Boston Legal (which stars James Spader and William Shatner) because they've replaced it with Grey's Anatomy at the moment. It's good news all around.
Awesome news. All favorites of mine. I didn't know about Alias, either. We're still playing catch-up with that one. We're about a quarter of a way through Season 3 and have been taping Season 4 (the current one) to view once we catch up.
Ah! That's excellent! Of interest I heard on the news was that Frank Langella has the role of, um, the editor of the Daily Planet (I forget his name) in the new Superman film. It was to be Hugh Laurie's role but he had scheduling conflicts due to House.
Perry White is the editor of the Daily Planet. Don't ask me why I remember that bit of trivia!
I do remember reading that HL was supposed to play the role but couldn't because of House. I always picture Perry White as in his 50's/60s (due to growing up watching Superman on TV in the 50s), so in my mind, Hugh would have been too young. I think Frank Langella would be good.
Hurray for Lost
