It's a birdbath. It's the one he had camped under when he was a stray and ate pretty well off of it. We no longer put water in it, obviously.

Yes, it's a birdbath. You know how hazardous it is to go to the watering hole because there could be a lion in the underbrush? So true in this case when Brindle was a stray living off the land.
