SG1 Prototype:
Awesome episode. They haven't had a villian with that much meance since Osiris promised our rivers would run red with blood. You see, this is what villians are all about; a strong individual, preferably one with a personal grudge against one of our heroes. A strong villian makes our heroes more heroic as they fight against them. I was sure that Kalik was drooling at the possibility of killing Daniel. That scene was mesmerizing; it was playing when I should have been walking out the door to work, but I didn't care if I was late as I could not leave until the scene was over.

The "new guy!" line was priceless. Daniel's getting all alpha on Mitchell! So cool!

I loved Daniel arguing to not preserve Kalik. Jack would be so proud of him (and maybe a little saddened, too.) Teal'c looked concerned and impressed. Lam looked like she was wondering just how she fell in with a nest of murderers. And Mitchell was surprised; I think he never would have thought Jackson was capable of being that extreme. I think he'll have to rethink what he thinks he knows about Daniel. And the synchronized shooting team of DJ and CM was a fantastic moment! I heart Daniel's two-handed grip; I bet Jack taught him that. *g* And I have to say that score was fantastic, too.

I loved how gobsmacked Daniel was when Woolsey discounted Daniel's opinion about how dangerous Kalik is. I think he very much felt Jack's absence at that moment. He needs someone to believe in him, someone to back him up when he takes these enormous leaps. He knows Kalik is dangerous and that would be good enough for Jack. Poor Daniel can instantly be put back into a place where his words, his opinion, his insight has no value. So sad. But I guess that was what Woolsey was asking forgiveness for at the end of the ep, negating Daniel's opinion. Well, Daniel is usually right. Why do people ignore that fact??

And I'm loving Teal'c's new do. And I adored how Teal'c smiled proudly at Daniel when Sam asked if you didn't have to be a good person before you could ascend. The big guy so loves Daniel.

SG1 The Fourth Horseman:
Kinda forgettable overall. I'm liking Lam and Landry lots better. I suppose it's evil of me to take enjoyment that one of Sam's many sexcapades coming back to embarrass her in front of her new boss. "Taller?" Mwhawhawhaw!

And as everyone else has noticed, Mitch and Daniel coming back from a one on one basketball game is a very pleasing sight indeed. I get a kick out of how intently Daniel watches that basketball until Mitchell throws it to him. I bet Michael Shanks is very focused in sports. I liked seeing Dr. Lee again; I know they try to make him a buffoon, but that actor has a way of delivery that makes him very likeable.

Interesting choice to have Daniel so edgy and ready with his gun when they are on the Sodan planet. While it was funny, it was not something Daniel would do. If he was on a mission to make allies, he would not be scanning for targets. Knowing how to make allies is what this guy does.

And of course, with a title like that, one can't help but wonder just how Kronos heard about the Stargate and how he'd redecorate Landry's office. And what of Methos? Yes, there are lots of possibilities there.

House: Autopsy
So, House and Wilson have connecting balconies at work? Heh heh heh.
But you know, I don't think House will be getting any anytime soon because Wilson was pretty ticked off at how cruel he was being to the girl. And that moment when the 9 year old got Chase to kiss her! Wow! Very dangerous but very well done!! Another excellent episode.

SGA: The Lost Boys
I love McKay as a character. I wouldn't want to know him in real life, but he's a great character and he's the main reason I watch the show. And one of the best things about him is the way he broadcasts vulnerability when he's distressed. That last scene with him was great. He is in so much trouble with them bored, drugged up guards. Rodney knows it's VERY BAD when goons invade your space so close that you can smell all their body odors.

Lost
Another Jack heavy ep. I don't care for Jack. I'm hoping he gets knocked on his ass sometime soon. As for what was in the hatch, I think they need to go down that path carefully as I was resisting the impulse to laugh.

Criminal Minds and Threshold have a couple interesting actors/characters each and I feel interested in watching more eps.

Surface and Invasion are on the clock. I will give them a few more chances to catch my interest before I tell tivo to ignore them. I haven't had this many shows to follow for years, and something's gotta give.

Rome is a lot of fun; very, very refreshing and entertaining. NCIS was odd and poignant and thrilling; cliffhanger! Woe is me!!

BSG: At least they've had some wins lately. But that last ep. Whoa! Great cliffhanger, but what disturbing images.

I'm still looking forward to the start of Boston Legal and The Nightstalker.

Desperate Housewives had a good few moments. Bree with that tie!! OMG! You just knew she'd have to change it or else she'd be fretting for years that Rex wasn't dressed right. She reminded me of Monk at that moment. I have to say I am disliking Susan more with each episode. She is so immature. Everything is about her, and she's terribly inflexible and overly dramatic. She's tiresome. I like the others, but I dread when comic relief Susan is front and center.

Nip/Tuck Okay...I know the show is stylish and loves to be bizarre while being poignant, but this just went really odd. Did they get a new showrunner or something? Julia and Sean switching sides on the debate of whether they should get a divorce was irritating; I hate it when characters are made to bounce around like that. And Sean's non-reaction to Christian being raped? What. An. Ass. Unbelievible. Your 'brother' gets his throat slashed and raped and all you can say is to whine that he's taking too long to get back to work? I'm really begining to dislike Sean. Christain, the 'immoral' partner, is continueing to out shine Sean whenever it comes to heart and compassion. And of course he bounced back way too fast from his trauma. Interesting that a show decides to take this enormous step to have a main character raped then hardly deals with it. WTF is that all about? And while I adore 'Tara' from Boston Legal, and can freely admit her character here is extremely hot and riveting, I also think her character is too bizarre to be believable. If she'd been a male cop doing that 'reenacting' to a female victim, it would have been revolting. And the threesome scenario? Again, it was hot, but it was really much closer to a soft porn film than a tv show. I mean, they've done a threesome before, but that had dramatic merit; Sean and Christian used a prostitute as a Julia clone that was really just a condom between them having sex. I just kinda thought this was a little out there for this show.

And I've only got about 7 more eps of Ellery Queen to tape before I've got the whole show (minus the pilot.) Anyone have the pilot out there?? I've a strong desire to write something dark involving Ellery. :::sigh:::

And I went to the fair last night and saw ZZTop. It would have been more fun if the band hadn't been 30 mins late starting and if the woman sitting next to me whose date spent most of the time getting beer, hadn't started chatting up the man sitting behind me. They were shouting their phone numbers to each other during Sharp Dressed Man. So incredibly rude. What the hell is wrong with people? Then there was a lot of pot smoke so we ended up with a contact high, and when we left, all the food vendors were closed so we couldn't indulge the munchies. Double damn them!!

I loved Prototype very much. I'm very proud of Daniel and who he has become. Fantastic character stuff.

As for people not believing him... Well, I got the feeling that it was people from the "outside" who don't believe him. People in the SGC do believe in him. Actually, I love how respectful Landry is towards him. He said "I hear you Dr. Jackson" and then you see him calling Woolsey an ass and they never question what Daniel said, harsh as it is, because they trust him implicitly.

A long way from seasons 4 and 5. This has been on since season 7 and I'm very grateful for that.

BTW, I felt for poor Bill Lee. Sam and Daniel were a bit mean towards him. He's such a geek, but he's nice... most of the times.

As for Atlantis, did you see Aurora? I loved that one as well. And The lost boys was good too. :)

I think when Daniel realized that Woolsey was giving his opinion no weight while strongly hinting Landry might be removed from commanding the SGC, I think that gave him a great deal of pause. Jack would have stood with Daniel no matter what the threat to him. And Landry straddled the line for a bit before siding completely with Daniel. I think that earned him points from Daniel. Respect and trust have to be earned, and Landry did good there.

I took Daniel's kidding of Bill Lee as good natured. He seemed lighthearted, otherwise it would have been quite mean. And Lee didn't seem to mind and he's the one that would know.

Aurora was good. Again, I liked the McKay bits, like him shooting at the Wraith as he ran away. I can't remember if he gave a girly scream or not this time. *g* The ship Aurora and the situation of the crew was very imaginative. Very interesting.
