Yesterday, Mom and I drove up Mt. Baldy to test the ear again. I'd noticed last time that there were a lot of flowers in bloom, so I dragged Mom with me for a nice little drive. We started from Upland, drove all the way to the ski lift, came back to part way and then took the Glendora Mt. Road.

Here is Mt. San Antonio, commonly called Mt. Baldy because of the lack of trees at the top. It's 10,052ft, I think.

The mountain lilac was in full bloom and smelled wonderful. There's a big patch of it where the road goes to Ice House Canyon. I'd include a photo but it doesn't do it justice.

The penstemons and monkeyflowers were blooming in many places:
