Colin Powell gets it

I'm watching the Colbert Report and he has this quote on there from the Oct 07 issue of GQ: "What is the greatest threat facing us now? People will say it's terrorism. But are there any terrorists in the world who can change the American way of life or our political system? No. ...Only we can change ourselves."

I've watched every debate so far that I can. If I could, I'd ask the candidates, "if elected, how will you restore our government's system of checks and balances? And will you repair the damage done to our constitution?"

The Fair's the thing

Today I sent my passport renewal in. Yay! The postmaster said he just got a letter saying the turn around time is back to being 6-8 weeks. Yay!!
