An ethical issue
Jul. 7th, 2007 12:50 amI've worked at the same job for 30 years. In that time, I've called off work twice to play hookey. :::waves at Scribe:::: The last time I've called off was last July when the refrigerator died.
Here's my quandary:

You'll notice that Torchwood with John Barrowman is on Thursday. Friday is SG1 with SCAT and David Hewlett. Saturday is Heroes.
I've bought a membership and had intended to drive down Friday after getting off work in the AM. I work Tuesday/Wed/Thursday that week. If I want to see JB, I should really call in sick on Wed and Thursday. Is it worth it for an hour? I was under the impression that Scifi or was it MGM was going to try to have a lot of the cast down there for SGA and possibly SG1. Only two actors seems very thin pickings. I wouldn't cross the street to see AT but I adore DH. And I would love to see the Heroes panel. I have the sick time. And at this job, you have to ask for time off about six weeks in advance. And I know for a fact that most everyone else calls in for fun days all the time.
